Born and raised in Santa Barbara.  Previously a teaching assistant and adjunct faculty member at USC.  Owned and operated an outpatient orthopedic practice in downtown Los Angeles.  Active in mentoring physical therapy students in Santa Barbara and supports the Goleta Boys and Girls club. Enjoys swimming and golf.
